Q: What will we see on the FREE Monuments tour?
A: We will walk up to the Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial Wall, Lincoln Memorial and the Korean Memorial. We will not go into any buildings on the tour. From a distance we will discuss the U.S. Capitol, White House and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

Q: Where can we park near the tour?
A: Parking near the monuments is limited. The best websites that that we have found for information on parking are listed below:

Q: Which Metro stop should we use to get to and from the Mall tour?
A: The nearest Metro station to the start of the "More than Just Monuments Walking Tour" is the Federal Triangle station (blue and orange lines). Click Here for a map and walking directions from this station to the tour starting point.

A: The nearest Metro station to the end of the "More than Just Monuments Walking Tour" is the Foggy Bottom station (blue and orange lines). Click Here for a map and directions from the tour ending point to this station.

Q: Do the tours ever get cancelled for weather?
A: The show must go on! Dress appropriately for the conditions. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In case of extreme weather (snow storms, hurricanes) check our website the day of the tour for updates.

Q: How long are the walks?
A: All of the tours are a little over one mile in length.

Q: Do the walks conclude at the same place from which they start?
A: No they do not. The FREE Monuments tour ends at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The Lincoln tour ends outside of Ford's Theater on 10th and E Streets NW. Check our maps to see where the tours end.

Q: Do kids like these tours?
A: Yes! All of our tours are suitable for children. The Mall and Lincoln tours are stroller and wheelchair friendly.

Q: Do I need to buy a ticket for my little kid on the Lincoln and Ghost tours?
A: No. Children age 6 and younger attend walks for free.


Q: I bought tickets on your website. Now I can't go. Can I get a refund?
A: Yes, but you must give us 48 hour advanced notice from when your tour starts.


Q: Can we bring our dog?

A: We love dogs! We welcome dogs on our tours as long as they are on a leash and are well behaved. If your dog becomes a problem, we may have to ask you to leave the tour.


Q: How can I go inside the White House?

A: You need to contact your congressman months in advanced to see if they will hook you up.
